Welcome to the 41st Annual Area II Leadership Conference!
Greetings Area II Top Ladies, Top Teen, and Lords! We are delighted to invite you to the 41st Area II Leadership Conference at the Long Island Marriott located in Long Island, New York from April 25-28, 2024. Our conference theme is “Area II Celebrating TLOD’s 60 Years of Service in Action”! Hosted by the Gotham Chapter, this dynamic conference is tailored for Top Ladies, Top Teens, and Lords, promising an enriching and unforgettable experience.
Join us on Thursday evening for Host night filled with the essence of New York. Experience the vibrancy, culture, and spirit of the city as we kick off the conference in New York style. Immerse yourself in a unique celebration of Hip Hop culture during our Joint Opening Session on Friday morning. The TLOD/TTA luncheon will shed light on the critical issues of heart disease as we continue to reflect our commitment to health awareness. Engage in meaningful discussions and activities during Community Night and the Area II Gallery of Action. Witness and contribute to the impactful service initiatives within our community. Participate in the When We All Vote Drive, support the NAACP/NCNW membership drives, and strengthen our commitment to social justice.
Contribute to the outreach for foster care transition, making a positive impact on the lives of those in need. Engage in informative plenary sessions and workshops. Saturday offers several excursions that allow you to explore New York and discover the iconic landmarks and diverse neighborhoods of Manhattan; indulge in a delightful tour of local wineries, unleash your creativity via Paint, Chat & Chew or enjoy leisure time. Saturday night’s gala will focus on Sickle Cell, a critical issue that plaques our community. Sunday will culminate with the Memorial and Inspirational Service as we celebrate the graduating Top Teens.
As we gather to celebrate 60 years of "Service in Action," we eagerly anticipate your participation in this joyous and impactful conference. Your presence will undoubtedly contribute to the success of this milestone event.
